Dina Parise Racing Brake-fest Charity Show Appearance
For Dina Parise Racing events do not always occur on the track. As a matter of fact, it seems some of the most important and engaging events occur while sitting still. That would be the case with the most recent event the team participated in.
The Brake-Fest Charity Car Show presented by Master Power Brakes was held recently in Mooresville, NC. The DPR team attended (of course along with Stella the 3,000HP Cadillac) as a special guest of the event to benefit the Martin Truex Jr Foundation and Classroom Central.
“Events such as this are probably my favorite!” Said Dina Parise “Although we are busy, we are a bit more relaxed, so we really get to chat with people. Not to mention, we are raising donations and awareness for two great charities. It’s a win, win for sure!”
Although Stella (the Cadillac Pro Mod) was for showin’ not goin’ this time out, the team did treat the crowd to the sound of 3,000HP firing up! “We really made it as if we were in our pit area at the race track.” Said Parise. “What a great way for those not familiar with our sport to feel the excitement! We want them to understand how accessible we are as racers, and how one on one our sport is. That truly is the beauty of our sport of drag racing.”
Stella may not have moved at all during Brake-Fest but that is not to say there was no ‘racing’ happening on the property. It seems Parise ‘called out’ two time NASCAR Champion Todd Bodine (Team Onion), challenging him to a race in the uRace Simway Virtual Racing Experience racing simulator. Parise did edge out Bodine to win the race. Will there be a rematch? That remains to be seen.

The DPR team is now in the re-grouping phase and prepping for the 2017 season. “At the moment, we are breaking Stella down and giving her an overhaul.” Said Andrew Parise. “At the end of the season, I like to really take a look at the car and inspect every inch of it. Then we can prepare to begin again.”
The DPR team continues to push the envelope in every way. From performance to detail this team acknowledges and does it all.
