The 2016 New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javitz Center will showcase the latest automotive trends and of course an incredible collection of cutting-edge design and extraordinary innovation. Nestled within that plethora of innovation will be Dina Parise along with ‘Stella’ the 3,000HP Pro Mod Cadillac of Dina Parise Racing.

There is much to be said for a fresh start. It’s a new season for the International Hot Rod Association beginning with a with a new facility new management and a new IHRA, president Mike Dunn. A new season is just that. New and a clean slate. For every team out there it is a time to start over. New beginnings if you will.

‘Your one stop shop for staying on top’. It’s simple and it says it! Dina Parise Racing is proud to announce the addition of Lucas Oil to the team for the 2016 season!

“Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn’t have messed with? That’s me.” Wait, that’s not right….. “Go ahead. Make my day.” Wait, that’s not right either. Oh, wait that’s CLINT Eastwood! Let’s just say right sentiment wrong Eastwood!

Branding, logos, advertising and sales. All words that seem synonymous yet the marriage of them all may seem elusive at times. Or is it?

As many of you may know, I am the 2015 IHRA Pro Mod World Champion. In my former years I was a professional skater (performer) for the Ice Capades. In an odd twist of fate I gave up my sequins for a fire suit. The ‘game’ is oddly the same just at a bit of a faster pace! Why am I telling you this? Because my former life as a performer has honed my skills as not only an entertainer but a spokesperson. Do you see where I’m going with this?

The Dina Parise Racing team would like to welcome Hussey Performance as a marketing partner for the 2016 season.

They say ‘seasons change’. For the Dina Parise Racing team, that term could not ring more true at this moment!

‘Down to the wire’- used to denote a situation whose outcome is not decided until the very last minute. Well, that is certainly the scenario Dina Parise is facing right now when it comes to the fight for the IHRA Crower Pro Mod Championship. Dina is known for being blatantly honest (usually with a side of humor) and is surely willing to admit that this scenario should be a whole lot different right now, and at this point she will only blame herself for that. They say there is no ‘I’ in team but there certainly is an ‘I’ in driver.

The term ‘from hero to zero’ may just apply to the wild weekend the Dina Parise Racing team endured at US 131 Motorsports Park for the IHRA Northern Nationals. If it could happen it did. But frankly this hard working ‘grass roots’ team has seen and been through quite a bit in the past few years. They tend to be like a Timex… ‘Take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’!

Many tend to confuse change with unhappiness. That is not always necessarily the case. In many instances progression is what prompts change. The want to succeed and the need for progression are the catalyst for change. Therefore change is good.

For those who have been following the Pro Mod career of Dina Parise, you are most likely well aware of her ‘relationship’ with Maryland International Raceway. Beginning in the days back when Dina Parise Racing was a two car husband and wife Pro Mod team leading to now, there is a rich history both good and miserably bad at MDIR. For Dina, the last time she left there it was on bad terms. She was determined to change that and for all intents and purposes, she did. Although the events leading into the race week made it seem as if her history may have been setting a precedent for her upcoming week.

In an effort to encourage everyone to drive safely, I was honored to be asked to be part of the MOR- TV Tampa Drive Like a Pro PSA.

Rain drops kept falling on our heads. And falling and falling. The IHRA Nitro Jam Cordova Summer Nationals were postponed until Sunday due to inclement weather. Mother Nature must be going through a wicked case of Menopause. She has become that cranky old lady chasing the kids playing ‘stick ball’ down the block with a broom! Only the broom is a rainstorm and the kids are Drag Racers! We need to bring her some Chocolate and a nice bottle of Vino to calm her down.

Memorial Day: a holiday observed on the last Monday in May that is meant to honor and remember those who died in the military while serving their country.

‘Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm!’~ Winston Churchill. One thing the Dina Parise Team is certainly not lacking is enthusiasm. For that matter the team continues to make strides with their new Cadillac CTS-V Pro Mod Stella. No outing is ever considered a failure, it is considered a learning experience.
